Today was much easier with most of the trail being flat or downhill. We were woken up at 6 by monks singing in some language? It was very strange. I was on the earlier side out at about 6:30 AM. After a couple hours we hit Espinal for coffee and got a bocadillo. Ok, here's the thing with these "sandwiches". They're just baguette bread with one very fine layer of ham on it. Not filling at all and very dry. What else will you do though? Oh well. I met a fellow hiker from Wisconsin and shared the trail with her the rest of the day. It was a good pace and we stopped in Trinidad de Arre at a church with significantly less beds than last night! I did some laundry and went to the supermarket for food. It's better to buy food at the supermarket than buy the Pilgrim's Menu every day.
